Zdenka is a company with a long tradition in cheese production. The headquarters of the company are located in the central part of Croatia on the slopes of Bilogora, 35 km southeast of Bjelovar. It was founded in 1897, in Veliki Zdenci – an agricultural and livestock production area with milk production. Rich pastures were ideal conditions for milk production.
The dairy factory changed its name to Zdenka, after the daughter of former owners Zdenka. The sixteen-year-old Zdenka’s pictures, surrounded by a horse horseshoe and a four-leaf clover, became a symbol of double prosperity and happiness, as well as a company’s trademark.
